Proven Across Africa. Johannesburg is where much of South Africa's live event industry does business. Stadium concerts, international conferences, product launches, award ceremonies and major sporting fixtures all compete for the same venues, crews and dates. Mushroom Productions has been producing events since 1994, with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and productions across the continent. In Johannesburg that has meant delivering the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 at FNB Stadium, launching Sensation Innerspace, and building Volkswagen's three-day T-Cross City experience at Montecasino. Our Johannesburg team plans, engineers and runs productions with local crews, local suppliers and a working knowledge of the city's venues and approval processes. We design around them from day one. See our venue sourcing and design (https://mushroom.co.za/venues) work. ### Local Crew & Suppliers Gauteng has South Africa's deepest pool of technical suppliers and event crew. Working locally keeps freight costs, travel and risk down. ### Highveld Weather Planning Summer afternoon thunderstorms, cold winter nights and generator output at altitude all shape an outdoor Johannesburg event. Every outdoor production we run has a written severe-weather plan. ### Approvals & Compliance Johannesburg events run through the City's Joint Operations Committee alongside SAPS and national safety legislation. We prepare the technical documentation and work alongside your safety officer. Read our guide to event safety compliance in South Africa (https://mushroom.co.za/blog/event-safety-compliance-south-africa-sasrea). ### Logistics & Load-In Johannesburg traffic can turn a short truck run into hours. We plan off-peak deliveries, realistic build schedules and audience transport from the start.
